On Friday, October 7, dredging at the Willamette Park boat ramp was completed, and the ramp is now open to the public. The project concluded three weeks ahead of schedule and on budget.
Funds for this project came from the ODFW Sport Fish Restoration Fund, Portland Parks and Recreation and the Oregon State Marine Board.
All fences, contractor equipment and signage have been removed. The project included in-water maintenance work to ensure the usability of the Willamette Park boat ramp and beach to the south. This project involved scouring the end of the boat ramp and removing large quantities of silts/sediments that affect navigational depth to vessels approaching the ramp.
Enjoy the area safely, and thanks for caring for our parks!
