On Sunday, September 29th Portland will celebrate our 20th year as the founding Row For the Cure® Regatta. Rowers and paddlers from across the country will make their way to Portland to join this celebration of survivors and remembrance of family and friends taken by breast cancer.
Adding to the color this year will be special pink oars for our Surivor Crew donated by sponsors Zidell Inc., Durham and Bates Insurance and BC Survivor Janna Brown. The special pink painting was donated by Artistic Autobody. Each oar will feature a dedication to someone special touched by breast cancer. There will be a special dedication ceremony just before the first flight of the day, with returning announcer Dr. Shani Fox.
Station L Rowing Club will again host rowers and paddlers in dragon boats (use donated by DragonSports USA), canoes and kayaks in several flights on the Willamette River in beautiful downtown Portland. A portion of entry fees and all donations benefit the Oregon and SW Washington Affiliate of Susan G. Komen.
Brunch for all participants (donated in partnership with MADISON’S Grill) will be served during the awards ceremony following the regatta. Supporters and participants are encouraged to contact the organizing committee for information about dedicating event specific trophies.Send a Donation Today
