John’s Landing Expects New Housing

After years of focus on the South Waterfront, it’s time for John’s Landing to get some new developments.  Three projects are scheduled for development this summer in a four to five block stretch between Macadam Avenue and the Willamette River.

The project at the former Willamette Athletic Club on SW Landing Drive will break ground in later summer or early fall on a $40 million mixed use property with 166 apartment units. Guardian Real Estate Services has acquired this property.

The Boathouse on SW Boundary Street is another project in the works for John’s Landing.  The Boathouse will have an actual “boathouse” within the facility to house watercraft like kayaks, paddleboards and canoes.  The close access to the river and bike paths has great appeal for potential renters. the 133 unit will feature high end amenities including a dog washing station.

A third project is scheduled in the former home of the Who Song and Larry’s Restaurant and Bar.  The project is still trying to secure financing but plans to break ground in June.

Hi, I’m a real estate broker with Keller Williams. I was wondering if you could tell me about the proposed apartment development at John’s Landing. I have a condominium owner who is concerned it might obstruct their view. Do you know how many stories are proposed? Thank you in advance for your reply.
    Best regards,
